FAQ

How do I book my wedding date?

To reserve your date with Liv Makeup Artistry, a deposit and a signed contract is required. This deposit does go toward your bridal services. No date is held without a deposit. I work on a first-come-first-serve basis, so once a wedding is booked, I will always honor that date for you.

Do you travel?

I will travel to your home, hotel, or venue anywhere in NJ, & beyond for the day of your event. Travel fees may apply, depending on the location. Unfortunately, I do not travel for trials or parties less than 3.

Do I need a trial?

Trials are not always necessary for things like attending someone else’s event. But for more serious occasions I do recommend doing a trial so together we can perfect the flawless look you’ve imagined. Deciding on your look ahead of time helps the morning of to run smoothly and efficiently. Clients that get a trial could be finished up to 25 minutes sooner than clients who chose not to. It also gives you an opportunity to test the waters on the look you want and my techniques.

How soon should I book my trial?

I recommend booking your trial as early as possible. Since I book up to a year in advance, I wants to ensure that your date remains available for you. The sooner you do your trial and secure your date, the better. Especially if booking for a Weekend!

Can Liv do my everyone in my bridal party?

I do my best to make sure each client is only done by me. My absolute maximum is 10 people IF timing allows. For bridal parties of 5 or less people, I will be able to accommodate everyone. For bridal parties that are larger than that, I will bring a trusted, experienced assistant. But rest assured, I will still being doing everyone's makeup. Assistants will prep things such as work area, brushes, lashes, and skin to help speed the process up tremendously.

How much time will my makeup take?

It typically takes about 45min-1hr per face, depending on any add-ons (i.e gems, crystals or body makeup). The bride tends to take a little longer so that I can make sure everything is set to perfection. Please send me your timeline in advance so to ensure the day runs smoothly. Trials will guarantee that makeup is done more efficiently.

How can I be sure my makeup will last all night?

I use only the highest quality products. I prep the skin, apply the makeup, and set everything in place perfectly to ensure that nothing moves. My brides ALWAYS say that their makeup lasts all night! A tip to making sure your makeup stays put is to BLOT the happy wedding tears, rather than wiping them away. I also recommend that the bride bring her lipstick with her for touch ups throughout the day. Lipstick is the only thing that may need to be touched up. While most brides don’t need it, you can also keep some blotting powder with you for any oil or sweat. If you are concerned about your makeup moving, I do offer a stand-by service. In this package, I will be with you all day for touch ups or to change your look throughout the night. Contact Liv for more information about this service.

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

While I love the look of airbrush makeup, I don’t love the lack of longevity you get with ONLY airbrush. I only offer airbrushing with foundation to give that flawless appearance, but the rest of your look will be done with traditional makeup.
